Forest Rights Act (Recognition of Forest Rights)

The scheduled tribes residing in the forest and other traditional forest dwellers who have been living in the forest areas for generations, but their rights have not been recorded. This rule has been implemented to give recognition to forest rights and occupancy / residence in forest land at the government level and to give right to the residence and livelihood of the encroached land for use. 

Beneficiary:

01 for Scheduled Tribes to be held before 13 December 2005. 02. Other traditional forest dwellers have been residing primarily in forest or forest land for at least 03 generations before 13 December 2005.

Benefits:

Residents are given residential title certificates in the agricultural land under the Forest Rights Act.

Submission of application in Form A to Gram Sabha / Gram Panchayat.
