Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme

Introduction
Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme is being operated by the Government of India, Ministry of Rural Development, Department of Rural Development with the objective of providing financial assistance to widowed women living below poverty line under National Social Assistance Program (NSAP) Implementation and operation of the scheme is being done by M.P.Government, Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Department Land.

Purpose
Under the scheme, pension amount is paid for the purpose of providing financial assistance to widow women living below the poverty line.

Beneficiary:

The age of the applicant will be 40 years to 79 years. The applicant should belong to a family living below the poverty line as per the criteria set by the Government of India.

Benefits:

The widow woman beneficiary is paid a pension at the rate of ₹ 600 per month which includes ₹ 300 center share and ₹ 300 state share.

How To Apply

On submitting the application in the prescribed application form to the office of Gram Panchayat / Janpad Panchayat in rural area, Municipal Corporation / Municipality / Nagar Panchayat in urban area along with the following records: –
Three own photos
Husband’s death certificate
Age proof certificate
BPL Card
