Betul is a one of the tribal population districts of M.P. This district comes under satpuda plateau and Jawar& Wheat crop zone from the point of view of agriculture climate. Geographical area is 1007.8 thousand hec. out of which 416.7 thousand hec. land is under cultivation. 381.1 thousand hec. is under Kharif and 120.3 thousand hec. under Rabi.
