INTRODUCTIONØ NIC District Informatics Centre BETUL is established in 1989. Ø The motto of the NIC District Centre is to provide Information Technology Support to the District Administration. Ø NIC district Centre is connected with the Nation wide Network well know as NICNET, which is a satellite based communication network system. Ø NIC District Centre BETUL situated at the District Collectorate, NIC State headquarters situated at BHOPAL and Central Head quarters situated at NEW DELHI. Ø Generally the Office In charge designation of the District centre is DISTRICT INFORMATICS OFFICER well known as DIO. SERVICES v E-mail / Internet services through Dialup / DIC to various Govt. Offices. v ICT related training to Govt. employees. v Technical Support / Consultancy in ICT field. v Identifying the areas to computerize. v

Physical § NIC District Centre is having three room of size 14.5 X 10.5 Feet. Technical
§ Five Desktop Computer, Two server Computers are available in the cenre and they are all in the NETWORK connected through 16 port HUB . § Remote Access Server know as RAS finder is available in the Centre which is using by dial up users with three telephone connections. § Two 2 KVA UPS's are available in the centre for BACKUP during the Power breaks. § DW4020 (Direct Way) VSAT is available in the centre, which is the heart of the NIC District Centre where exactly communications performed. § Window Air Conditioning is available for smooth operation of computers. § SAMSUNG Laser Printer and Two Wipro LQ 1050+ Dot Matrix Printers available in the office. §

Ø Under E-mail/Internet through Dialup/DIC services, near about 25 departments/Offices covered in the District. Ø Under ICT training activities, at least One or two employees get benefit in all most all departments/offices in the district, like Basic awareness of computers, Working in Office application, Application Software's developed by NIC for data entries and reporting, finally on the E-mail operations. Ø
Under Technical Support services, always District Centre coordinated to the
end users when ever their office activities going to be computerize including the Site
preparation, earthling and electrification etc.by the NIC State/Central Headquarters

E-library under GAIN Project Ø Under Application Software Installation / Implementation/Monitoring services, District centre carried out for all the projects developed by NIC, like 11points programme for collectorate, Kasra Programme & Corp Insurance software for Land records, Community needs for CM&HO, Monthly progress report for Women & Child Development, MPLADS for District Planning Office, Rate Analysis Software for Rural Engineering Services, Agmarknet for Krushi Upaj Mandi, Time Limit programme , Payroll software, Revenue cases monitoring system for collectorate etc..are successfully installed and are fully used by the end users. Also some time bound projects like All India Education Survey , Below poverty Line Survey , Gram Sampark Abhiyan , Panchayat Directory excited in the district. Also District centre providing full ICT support during all the Loksabha / Assembly / Local election to the district administration.
